Lean Hogs

• Funds sold 8,934 contracts of Lean Hogs last week bringing their long position to 20,608 (New Low for the year)

• 2022 Min Long 20,608 (5/10/22); 2022 Max Long 79,242 (2/15/2022)

It would appear that the funds were in a risk off mode last week, as they were sellers in everything aside from Chicago Wheat. The livestock market took the brunt of the selling with both Live Cattle and Lean Hogs drawing down to yearly lows for the funds position.

This week has started on a positive note with wheat opening up the limit on Sunday night and a strong trade in all the other markets to start the week, suggesting in our view, that maybe the funds are no longer sellers, but there is a lot of week left.
