Cattle:
– Cattle slaughter Week to Date estimate at 620,000hd, down from 631,200 (actual) from the same period last year
– Choice boxed beef price at $304.91 per cwt
– Select boxed beef price at $294.17 per cwt
– Cash cattle prices up $2 to $292.91 per cwt dressed in the Midwest
-Last Week’s Cash Cattle prices traded at $181 – $182 per cwt live in the Southwest

Natural Gas:
– US natural gas production expected to decline to 203.4 billion cubic feet per day in 2024 (from a record 103.8 billion in 2023)
– US natural gas domestic consumption expected to reach a new record of 89.9 in 2024
– USDA projected US natural gas production to decline in 2024
– Natural gas rigs in operation up 3 to 97 (still down from 121 a year ago)
